-= first day at work =-
10am: went out with R in the morning. we cycled all the way 兵庫 Hyogo JR station (i was in my heels! =P), took the train to 三宮 Sanomiya. it was the shopping area in Kobe, but our main purpose was to go KICC, an internationl community centre of Kobe. i wanted to register for the free Japanese class, but they onli accept registrations from ppl who've been in Japan for at least a month, so i gotta come again nx mth. anyway, being on the 22rd storey, i managed to get a really nice bird's eye view of 三宮 and the area ard.




11am: we then walked thru the Center Street of 三宮 all the way to 元町 Motomachi. really lotsa shops and nice stuffs to look at. but the prices... sigh~ average price of clothing is always ¥3000, ¥4000 or even ¥10,000! aiya~ really ought to hv brought more stuffs from Singapore but i couldn't squeeze everything inside my luggage.


12pm: for lunch, we went to some old english pasta restaurant. i had pasta with fish eggs. tasted a bit weird for mi. =P


1.30pm: took the JR train back to 兵庫 and cycled for onli 5 mins to reach school. it was my 1st official day at work!! R helped mi a bit with my preparation. then off to meeting, where Boss briefed mi abt all the rules in TLS (first time seeing him so serious =P) and the day's classes began! had 1 private make-up class, kids class with 3 over-active children, and 2 adults classes.

8.10pm: supposed to hv my 5th class but both students didn't turn up, so "No Show"! i ended up playing a game called "Spella" with Boss, N-san and R. it's quite a fun game. everyone started with 16 tiles and we r supposed to form words with them. each person take turns to change a tile, until all tiles are completed with words.

9.30pm: C's class ended, and our game ended with mi emerging as the highest scorer *lucky!* and we cycled home again.

so my 1st day of classes ended. dunno if i did ok. during the kids class, i stumbled with the cassette which i think caused the kids to lose attention. and when students didn't turn up for class, like in the last class, i started wondering if it's bcos they dun wan mi as their new teacher. aiyo~ this school is a v nice place to teach, but cos everyone is juz so nice, and so i wanna do my best for them. a bit stressed!! =P

anyway, today i also received my bank card. had already received my bank book yesterday. so now i hv my very own bank account in Japan!
