24/6 Sat: woke up v early in the morning with nothing to do. decided to go out cycling ard my neighbourhood! i've not yet explored the part behind, which is all residential area with some schools. it's quite mountainous there and i ended up pushing my bike most of the time. =P

lotsa houses

a cute baseball boy buying drinks

junior high students going to school

beautiful water canal somewhere outside my apartment

the road leading to my apartment block

and here's my block! with a steep slope tt i zoom up and down everyday

i was quite lost when i was exploring all these areas, not knowing which direction i was heading. luckily, i managed to find my way back to the apartment! but it was still quite early, so i cycled further to the western side to explore more.

i realised it leads to the 長田神社 Nagata Jinja

so i cycled up and up and up and here i am!

with this, i've been to all the 3 famous shrines in Kobe! (生田神社、湊川神社、長田神社)
there wasn't many ppl on an early Saturday morning. after this, went home and made my bento of the day. mixed the remaining cabbage and carrots with some meat and mushroom and i managed to whipped up a really delicious dish! =P

in school, i met Y for the first time, a lady who've stayed in the US b4 and who's gonna be married to her Scottish bf soon! during kids class, 5-yr-old R was reluctant to play with her new classmates and kept clinging onto mi. it was onli in the last 5 mins when she finally decided to open up and accept the new frens. and i also received my first salary!!! not a lot tho, after deduction of taxes and housing rent, but good enuff for me. =P

at nite, went to dance again.
25/6 Sun: went to 灘 Nada with C today. it's juz a stop away from 三宮.

upon reaching, we walked a long way in the rain...

to reach the Hanshin Earthquake Museum

for those who remember, 11 yrs ago, the biggest earthquake striked Japan right in the city of Kobe at a magnitude of 7.3. in this museum, i got to see the video of how life was like after the earthquake. many buildings collapsed, making many ppl homeless. they had to squeeze in make-shift shelters in schools, and survive on food rations. water and electricity supply was also cut off for abt 3 mths. it was really a rough time. i even teared a bit while watching the video cos it was really sad.
but now, juz barely 10 yrs after the disaster, Kobe has regained its beauty and is once again a bustling city. i am really amazed at how they can rebuild this whole place from the ruins within juz a few years. hopefully it will always stay this way! =)

after visiting the museum, we went to Yamada Denki

where i looked at the electronic dictionaries & C bought hair-curlers

then to the new shopping mall beside. many shoppers & children on Sunday.

i took a pic with Nakamura, Japan soccer team player =P

and we had Katsu Don for lunch *oishii!!*

C had to go off earlier to meet her fren, so i shopped by myself and tried lotsa clothes! hee~ but in the end i onli bought a white top at ¥550. =P nice and cheap!

also saw many nice bags in the sports shop

around evening time, i'm tired already and so i slowly made my way back home from the run-down Nada station.

C made chicken soup tt nite. how nice! been some time since i tasted such Chinese soups... aww~ i missed my mum's soups! hee~
