9am: today is 端午节! tt day at the airport, both M and SJ brought mi some dumplings which i brought all the way to Japan. so this morning, i steamed them and shared with R & C. then i had another thrilling ride to school with R to meet Boss for gym together.
10am: weds and fri are usually gym days for Boss and R, so i followed them today! in Japan, most ppl who go gym r the senior citizens, and it's another friendly place cos most of them know one another. being a first-timer, the friendly gym assistant showed mi how to use all the machines and i tried them out. after exercising, we wanted to go jacuzzi but there wasn't much time left, so i onli had a shower. i had to cover myself with my towel all the time, but the ppl there all juz stripped and walked ard naked. still not used to this kinda culture. =P
1pm: lunch was at Central Market, a traditional Japanese restaurant. i had fried fish set, complete with rice, soup, fried beancurd and tea for ¥650.
2pm: reached school and as usual had our daily meeting with coffee. it was R's last day of work!! another kind student brought us some desert today. it was something like jelly and i tried the green tea flavour. nice nice!
3.10pm: my very first class started!! due to some changes in the time-table, we had 3 classes in this timeslot today and so i helped to teach. my student was a 19-yr-old boy who wants to go Australia and Canada to study. his father used to be a student with TLS in the past. and he's quite good-looking but seems very shy. anyway i hope he managed to learn something outta my lesson cos i dun really know wat to teach yet. =P
4.30pm: follow R to her last few classes in TLS. we had a v good class of 7 obedient kids, challenging TOEIC class where the level is much higher, active adult class in which the conversation juz couldn't stop, unethusiastic class of 2 sisters and lastly, a special requested class for a lady at 9.10pm.
in the active adult class, a man actually told mi tt he hopes i will be able to help his improve his english. in fact, during the farewell party on sun, he already told mi tt he likes R's lessons and hopes i can be the same too. oh gosh~ i feel so STRESSED!
10.30pm: R's last day at TLS finally ended. we went to a pub-restaurant "ichiban-daiko" near the school to sorta celebrate for her. other than us the 3 teachers, Boss and N-san, a student who's been with the school for a long time was there too. we all drank this sake with plum and hot water, and ate various small dishes. then chit-chat abt some of the famous english songs, which i all dunno abt! =P generation gap? haha~ had a good time anyway and cycled home again.
