11am: went out with C, who showed mi the way to the nearest 100 yen shop. bought 2 pairs of bedroom slippers (1 for home and 1 for work) and my very own bento box! gonna be eating dinner with this bento box everyday in future.

12noon: we had lunch in a Chinese restaurant near Hyogo station, called "Bamiyan". it was C's treat! the set lunch consists of rice, egg soup, siew mai, and a main dish. i ordered stir-fried brinjal with beef. yes, in case u r wondering, i hv decided to do away with my "no-eating-beef" obligation cos i wanna make life easier for myself. =P anyway it tasted really nice! can go there again whenever i crave for Chinese food.

2pm: walked to school, and Boss, R & C began their daily meeting with a cup of coffee. basically they talked a bit abt wat is expected for the day, such as make-up classes, etc. then up in the teachers' room, R & C started preparing for their classes while i explored the teaching materials available.

main office, where we hv daily meeting over a cup of coffe

all the materials available inside teachers' room

3.20pm: classes started and i followed R to the first 2 kids' classes. there were 4 little kids in the 1st class, and 2 in the 2nd one. Japanese children are so so cute! but v naughty too. hope i wun hv a hard time teaching them. =P

5.10pm: dinner break and we ate the bento prepared by R - curry rice. it was delicious! R & C said tt they didn't really know how to cook when they first came Japan too. hmmm... i muz also master cooking during my stay here!
6.50pm: supposed to begin class an hr earlier but the student (onli 1) couldn't make it today. then had 2 more adult classes where we mainly practised conversations (aka chit-chat in english!! =P).
9.10pm: ended the day's lessons and it was time to go home. R decided to pass mi her new bike while she used back her old one. gosh~ wat an exhilarating ride!! i'm not good at cycling, and the bike was v big and heavy, and the road home was full of upslopes and roads to cross. i was super scared all way!!!! but luckily i still managed to get back safely eventually. phew~

gee~ i'm really gonna be leading a life TOTALLY DIFFERENT from b4 - live independently, prepare bento 3 times a week (taking turns), cycle to and fro work everyday, and teach english in a small cosy school where class size range from a mere 1 to 7 at most. and despite Japan being v advanced, i'm actually seeing lotsa ppl who still uses casettes, film cameras and colouring pencils here. feels like living in a small town sometimes... and this feeling is really nice...
