Last Sunday, I visited the Moe Moe Kyun ♥ Maid Cafe at NEX. It's a maid cafe in Singapore that debuted at the Anime Festival Asia 2009, and now appears randomly at special occasions.

zach & enenmon waiting in line to get in

Cute chibi versions of the maids!

Once it was our turn, we were greeted politely by Tomomi,
who also took our orders from this cute menu.

Coffee & tea were served first.
The maids even helped us add the sugar & creamer and stir it for us!

Was quite happy to get served by one of my fave bloggers, Tsuriki!
Here's the Pikachu she drew on our chiffon cake. Cute!

At the same time, Moe drew a pig on our fondant chocolate. So creative!
After drawing, Tsuriki & Moe led us into a "magic spell" complete with actions that would "make our food more delicious". It went something like "(weird sounds weird sounds which i fogot =P) 美味しくなれ!" Haha~ Gotta say that both cakes tasted very good indeed. (^-^)b

Our 宅男 of the day *lol*

We also had an omu rice and this was once again drawn by Tsuriki, this time a cat!
Before tucking in, she led us into another "magic spell" that would "fill our food with love". It went "ラブラブ、パワーアップ!" I thought it was quite fun! Haha~ Didn't know I was such an otaku myself. =Pp

At 6.30pm, there was a short performance of Tomomi dancing to "Gee". Cute & sexy~
After eating, the final highlight was to take pictures with the maids! As most of us should know, photos are usually prohibited in maid cafes (except for pictures of food) and to take photos of the maids, we have to pay extra.

Since their service was so good, we happily paid 10 bucks for these 2 pictures!

When we were leaving, Moe sent us out and kept waving goodbye to us for some time. Sweet!
Thank you MMK for this enjoyable experience! I have to say the maids are really well-trained and the food is really good, making it comparable to the maid cafes I've visited before in Japan. In fact, I think I actually prefer MMK cos the ones in Japan are kinda overly cutesey to my liking. =P

Hope to visit Moe Moe Kyun Maid Cafe again someday!

I never went to maid cafes in Japan just because I thought they'd be exactly as you said; too cutesy. I guess it's a bit of an assumption but this one doesn't seem so bad! The omurice looks delicious for sure. :3
And I love your shoes! <3
Yeah, and the maid cafes in Japan are not only cutesey, they also find ways to charge you for every little thing. I'd still recommend to visit it at least once though, just for the experience. haha~
Thanks! I love these shoes too! ;)
omg...soooo kawaii!!! do u know if I can visit this place in singapore? or they only appear randomly at special occasions??
im visiting spore around mid-may....any recommendation?
Yes they only appear during events like anime fest or some roadshow. Don't think they have any upcoming activities in May... but u can visit their Facebook page (link at the top) for updates! =)
oh...too bad =(
hoping to see something like that in spore...since im always afraid to visit a maid cafe in japan!
have u been to the one in japan?
Yup, I've been to one in Osaka's Den Den Town and another in Tokyo's Akihabara. Both experiences were kinda disturbing cos I saw many gross otakus. Haha! =P
(笑)(笑)(笑)(笑)お宅か!!!きもいでしょう!!!
I've seen some otakus too when I made a trip to akihabaha....
Haha, ditto on the Den Den Town maid cafe/gross experience. Some friends and I decided we had to go at least once, but... man, there were other places that would have been, umm, more...clean? :P Blah.
Interesting nonetheless and I agree, the overly cuteness of it may make my head explode, but I'm not above trying one more time if the food looks that good! ^^)b
