Anyway, this is not exactly a proper post. Just wanna share some random thoughts about being back in the bustling city of Singapore after spending more than half a year in the lonely countryside of Japan.
1) Food and public transport suddenly seem so cheap!
Less than 300yen for a full meal at the hawker centre, and less than 200yen to get from one end of Singapore to the other by MRT
2) Trains are so frequent, and operate till the wee hours!
cos trains in Shinjo come by only once every 1-2 hours, and the last return train from say, Yamagata city is as early as 10.30pm
3) Summer is awesome!
no more having to stay near the heater all the time, shiver like mad when showering, or put on layers and layers of clothes b4 going out
4) I love friends!
feels great to have like-minded people to hang out and have fun with after work or during weekends
5) Now now... if only my parents were in a better state of health...
my all-time greatest worry... hearing about their medical reports really makes me think twice about continuing my job in Japan *sigh~*

At the sides are 2 of our ex-students in Kobe who specially flew over to attend the wedding. So glad to have come back in time to witness this happy day for C! (Ahhhh~~~ When will it ever be my turn??? *sigh sigh~* =Pp)

Nice to meet u, Kaoru! I'm always happy to see fellow Singaporeans. =) Yes there is still $3 chicken rice available. In fact some places sell it at only $2.50 or even $2! You really ought to make another visit soon cos Singapore has changed so much in the last few years!

Yes, there are more and more attractions in Singapore so you definitely should visit it! I hope to visit Switzerland and in fact the whole of Europe one day too!

I have seen $2 chicken rice in random hawker centres b4, but of cos the taste is only so-so. haha~ good for u tt u are coming back soon! i understand ur worry cos it took me a while to adjust back to the lifestyle here when i first came back from Japan too. but friends & family made things a lot easier! =)

BUT i do have relatives in s'pore!
anyways....i had chicken rice during the weekend in this "so-called" s'pore restaurant and IT WAS BAD!!! OMG.....the worst i ever had! and it was pricy too =(
