桜 2008

my 2nd year of sakura this year... for fear that it could also be my last chance, i decided to go all out and went for a total of 6 花見s!

2008年3月30日
大阪城西の丸公園

it was a rainy day... and the flowers have not fully blossomed yet

mi, maruko & kuwamocchan - 2 fellow Jay fans

WFC - an intl frens club set up by maruko & frens, but i don't really hang out with them

妙法寺川公園

pretty sakura in the park where Boss brings his teachers to every year

it's the same spot i took the "pinky mi" pic last year. too bad we came a tad too early this year when most flowers weren't in full bloom yet!

with Boss, under the only sakura tree that has fully blossomed in the park

with Kuma-san, who looks like a mafia here!

mi and Jess on the sakura bridge

2008年4月5日
夙川公園

decided to come here alone on a crowded Sat morning after hearing from a student that the sakuras were in full bloom

many sakura trees along both sides of the stream

fallen petals in the water and on my skirt

roadside stalls selling stuff like takoyaki, yakisoba, and so on...

as usual, self-portrait taken with my tripod! =P

2008年4月6日
明石城公園

the remains of Akashi Castle

a big lake in the center, surrounded by sakura trees

people riding in swan boats

families having pinics under the trees

mi engrossed with the beautiful sakura

finally found a spot for our group (with my housemate and her frens)

mame-chan & goma-chan so kawaii

a lil boy decided to join us in the pic

sakura & mi

sun was setting... time to leave!

2008年4月13日
吉野山

after a 4-hour toil on the bus, we arrived at Nara's famous Yoshinoyama

mi & Jess with mountains of sakura

pink & white

walking through the hordes of people

金峯山寺

mi & Ying2 (Jess's fren) eating bento

a good photo-taking spot

this dog attracted lotsa attention for being so cute and gigantic!

panoramic view of the thousands of sakura covering the mountains

a closer look

mi =)

with Kuma-san

a last look before rain started to fall

sakura-flavoured ice-cream *yum yum*

2008年4月22日
大阪造幣局

woke up early on a Tues morning to go to Osaka Mint by myself

there was a wide variety of sakura, which were really different from the usual ones

the flowers were as big as roses

and they gathered in bunches

lotsa people despite it being a weekday morning. mainly senior citizens though.

self-taken shot on my HP

ground littered with fallen sakura petals

*おまけ*
other the above 6 花見s, i could practically see sakura EVERYWHERE for about 2 weeks.

right in front of my apartment...

at the entrances of elementary schools...

on the way to FX company...

and finally... the tree right in front of my school...

full bloom! *pretty pretty*

1 week later...

and that marked the end of Sakura Season 2008.
