3 things that made my Xmas!

Hope everyone had a good Xmas holiday yesterday! For me, frankly, I didn't have a good start to my Xmas this year. While all my friends are enjoying the holiday season partying, travelling or simply spending time together with their loved ones, I am all alone in this secluded place and having to work throughout the Xmas weekend. "Why is my life so pathetic??" I kept lamenting...

However, I'm glad to say that there were 3 things that made my Xmas not so bad after all!! =D

#1 It's a White Xmas! My 1st ever White Xmas!

Although I've already blogged abut snowing in Shinjo before, having snow on Xmas day itself is yet another thing, especially for someone from a tropical country where the idea of "White Xmas" had always seemed like a far-fetched dream!

#2 My pictures of Sendai's illumination are featured on Tokyo Kawaii, etc.!

Tokyo Kawaii, etc. is a blog about Japanese fashion, kawaii shops, and variety of topics based on Japanese culture and something kawaii. I've been a reader of this blog for some time and I love how it keeps me updated with kawaii trends and gives me ideas on where to visit in Tokyo. Recently, Kirin, the creator of the blog, started a project where readers could share pictures of Xmas illumination in their areas. I decided to contribute my pictures taken in Sendai and here is my post!

P.S. To readers who came by my blog through Tokyo Kawaii, etc., hope you liked my pictures and here's a big "HELLO" to you! (^o^)/"

#3 I'm the super lucky winner outta 640 entries for Eki's giveaway!!!

Remember the Coach Poppy wristlet + Melliesh lip gloss giveaway on Eki's blog that I talked about before? The winners were announced on Xmas yesterday and I literally jumped up and down for joy when I saw this!

This is so amazing and unbelievable! It's my first time taking part in a blog giveaway and I actually got it! Besides, I remember seeing on Eki's Twitter that there were a total of 640 entries! I really can't believe my luck. Thank you so much, Eki, for making my day! =)

And that was the story of how my lonely and sad Xmas turned into a LONELY BUT HAPPY XMAS! Haha~

Anyway, I think my 3 months of hectic work is finally coming to an end soon. 3 more days of work left and I will be off to "my hometown in Japan" aka Kobe for the new year holidays! Weeeeee~~~ \(^^)/

Will blog again soon and meanwhile,

Happy Holidays!!!

I had to work on Christmas eve and day too :( I feel your pain!

But I'm glad that you had some good things happen!!! Your photos on Tokyokawaiietc are so pretty! I got some of mine posted on there too and it really made me happy :D

That's AMAZING that you won the give away!!! The wristlet looks nice too!

And I'm super jealous that you got so much snow for Christmas. I come from a place that always has a lot of snow for Christmas, so I really miss having a white Christmas. But I'm happy that you could experience your first one :)

Have a happy new year!

@Meow
Hee... Thanks!! I really can't believe my luck! And yes it's super cold in Shinjo. How do I handle it? By hiding indoors under my kotatsu most of the time! Haha~

@Sakie & Thomas
I hope to make friends too but it's kinda difficult here since I don't get to meet anybody other than my colleagues. Oh well, I won't be staying here for long anyway. Looking forward to a more exciting life in Yokohama nx year! ^^

@Caroline Josephine
