Life has been nothing but SIAN nowadays. Just as I have told En and Wei Ming, my typical lifestyle right now is as follows:
- work Mon - Fri, 9am - 5.30pm (sometimes 6 or 7pm). most of time just sitting there waiting for work to be assigned
- play DS Lite on the train to and fro work everyday
- check out Facebook, Youtube, and miscellaneous blogs at night
- dance session sometimes on Fri/Sat nights and locking class on Sat afternoons
- nuah at home on Sundays

As many of you already know, I have found a job as Technical Editor in a small Japanese office. Frankly speaking, the main reason I chose this job over others with higher salaries and in bigger companies is because of the bountiful opportunity to go Japan (or so at least I was told). However, I am beginning to regret my decision. Desk-bound jobs are really not suitable for me - sitting in front of the computer 8-10 hours a day, checking the same documents over and over again, and worst, having minimal interaction with people. Not only is it boring, I am also not learning much nor gaining any useful experience by doing all these repetitive things!
It doesn't help that my colleagues aren't exactly the most interesting people either. In the morning, everyone arrives and sits down at their desks without saying a word; at work, everybody does their stuff quietly; during lunchtime, everyone eats their food in silence and goes back individually after finishing. Words of exchange is practically zero!! Although I know that they are nice people (based on the few short conversations I initiated), it's really torturous to work in this kinda "peaceful" enviroment!
Sometimes I wonder if it's because my previous job was too fun to begin with, thus causing such a great disparity and resulting in the present discontentment. In Kobe, I worked fixed hours everyday and when students didn't turn up for class, I got the free time to myself. We had 1-week holidays like 5 times a year and many events to enjoy and have fun with the students. Also, being a teacher means that I was always the one in command. My students could be lawyers, doctors or some top executives but the moment they entered my class, they had to follow my instructions. Come to think of it, the pay was actually quite good too, especially now that the Japanese yen has risen again. Gee... I really miss my teaching job in Kobe!!!
It's only been one month since I started the current job, and already I'm thinking of quitting and go back to teaching or try something else. However, chances are that I will just hang on and hope for the better... because I'm too chicken to quit! There are too many people I need to answer to - my students, friends and Okaasans & Otousans in Japan. I really want to let everyone know that I am doing well... even if I am not.

My birthday this year was exceptionally quiet... No special celebrations, cakes or anything. I went to work as usual in the quiet company, and was even made to stay late cos there was some work to be done. Then I went to meet my only companion of the day - En. We had dinner and chatted for quite a long time, catching up with each other's lives. Thank you so much, En!

Also special thanks to everyone who did not forget my special day!

Even before I came back to Singapore, I had already been searching online on where to continue dancing. And since the first week I was back, I was already attending the weekly sharing session with some of my old blast mates and beginners' locking class at a dance studio.

And here are some pictures taken at the sharing session on 18th Oct:

I like this picture.
It shows everything that I like - dance, Kobe and adidas. Haha!

Met up with my RV dance girls on 27th Sept for a mini birthday gathering for me. As usual, topics revolved around work, travel plans, family and boyfriends (theirs, that is!).

Fangxuan, Shujun, Yuchan and I
The 2 owners of the hostel where I stayed at in Taipei were in Singapore for a visit! Caught up with them on 1st Oct, along with many other people who had stayed in their hostel before. We had dinner and then a crazy ladies' night out at Double O. Just look at the pictures to see how much fun we had. Funny cos I was actually meeting most of them for the first time! Then again, I guess it's easier to let loose with people I'm not so familiar with, since I'm not even sure if we will ever meet again! =P

Taipei Backpackers!
Also had dinner and a nice, long catching-up session with some of my RV classmates on 4th Oct.

Finally, there was dinner and karaoke with Xinhui, Siaoying, En and Lili on 17th Oct where I received my very belated but very nice birthday present, but unfortunately I forgot to take pictures that day. So, no pictures for this. =P

Attended my first friend's wedding dinner on 11th Oct with En. It was the big day of our primary school mate - Qifen! Actually, En and I felt quite awkward because we didn't know any other people there. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the food. =P After the dinner, En suddenly suggested going to St. James since we were already out and all dressed up. It was my first time there and I must say that it was a really good recommendation, En! The performances were really professional and the MC show was super hilarious!! Let's go there again sometime!

Besides Qifen's, I am also going to attend 2 dance mates' wedding next month at Sentosa. Another dance mate is going to get married too next year on 9th September (09/09/09!!!). I can seriously foresee many more invitation cards coming in the next 1-2 years.

Ever since coming back, I have been looking around for a new handphone but to no avail. There is always something wrong with the model that I am interested in - lack of certain functions, ugly design or simply too expensive.
Here are some phones that I've been looking at:

iPhone 3G

HTC Touch Diamond

Samsung F480

LG KU990 Viewty
And if you realised, yes, I like phones with big screens.
I've been checking out laptops as well and I think that the prices nowadays are not so expensive to get something with all the specifications sufficient for me. But with my 6-year-old Toshiba still functioning pretty well except for the occasional lag and lack of a DVD drive, I guess a laptop is not so urgent yet.
One more gadget that I've been eyeing is the new Nintendo DSi which is going to be released in Japan on 1st Nov!

This new version of its predecessor DS Lite features a bigger screen, camera function and also downloadable-for-free (in Japan) Internet browser! Wahhh... I want it!! But my current DS Lite is barely half a year old only. =P Anyway, I think it will take some time before reaching Singapore.

Any eligible single guy friends? Please introduce them to me!

is that locking instructor called Ian? Haha, I think I knew him thru wholivesnearyou.com and chatted a few times thru MSN.
Anyway, I'd love to jio u out like how we used to hang out but I'm currently drowned with my own FYP and oso freelance/part time Synovate project to even hang out with Zach much. Am also looking forward to gathering on Thurs! Hehe...
And aiya... that day milo gathering forgotten to take pics. Sorry I had to leave earlier cos I oso haven't seen Zach awhile as he's working shift job, I might not get to see him on wkend cos he has to work.
As for intro u guys... actually, how u wanna be intro huh? Arrange a meet up in a grp of frens and bring the guy along? Or can friendster 'forward a friend'? or what? And after all these years, your ze ou tiao jian got change?
Yes, it's Ian! Wah you actually know him. I think he's a super multi-talented genius. But seems like he's serving NS now, so the current locking instructor is someone else.
And yeah, speaking of the last gathering... HOW COULD YOU LEAVE US BEHIND AND GO OFF WITH YOUR BOYFRIEND JUST LIKE THAT?!?! (>.<) At least inform us beforehand mah! I was so shocked when Zach suddenly popped into the KTV room... not that I mind having him around though, considering how fun it was to tease him. *LOL* =Pp
So you really have single guys to introduce? ^^ But how eligible are they? I think my ze ou tiao jian is getting harder to satisfy nowadays. Haha... And nope, not through Friendster or Facebook please. I much prefer to get to know somebody in real life. Group outings would be cool.
Woah. The Taipei backpackers pple actually came over. Aiye. I miss Taipei ><.
And btw, ni hao xiang you yi dian fa fu le..hehehe.. guess u must be happy and SG food is tasty.
Yup, in fact, it was like the 3rd time the Taipei Backpackers people visited Singapore this year! Seeing them makes me so wanna visit Taiwan again.
Oei~ I already tried to pick only the pictures in which I look slimmer... still can tell that I fa fu le?? Grrrr... But it's true lar. Haha! Another reason for me to hate office jobs - everyday just eat and sit. It's hard not to fa fu!
