it's been 3 weeks since i came back to Singapore. nothing much has happened.

many things are still the same, but many people have changed.

i'd always thought that 2 years in Japan had made me grow up as a person. throw me questions about Japanese culture, language, lifestyle or even politics, and i can tell you a thing or two about it. unfortunately, all this knowledge seems to be totally irrelevant here in Singapore.

when i first returned, i felt so out-of-touch... so lost and so missing Japan. yet, i had to struggle to figure out everything from zero by myself. i mean, in Japan, all the people would patiently explain to me all the things i needed to know, on account that i was new to their country. but here, who will be kind enough to guide me and inform me about whatever has happened over the last 2 years? who am i in the first place?

and perhaps it's actually not a good thing to get an overseas job as a first one. when i left, all the people around me were either still schooling or just graduated. everyone was still very green. but 2 years later, most people have already gained a certain level of experience and reputation in their careers, not to mention receiving a substantial income every month. me, on the other hand, is still at square one - jobless and penniless.

of course, it doesn't go to say that i have wasted 2 years of my life in Japan. it's just that all the things i went through, all the lessons i learnt, all the hearts i touched and which touched me... will probably never be appreciated by most people in Singapore.

to me, Japan is more than a place for holidays, cuisine, fashion, anime, technology, or whatever funky stuffs it's well-known for. to me, Japan is just like a home... my 2nd home.

ok, enough of those emotional stuffs. here are some notable events that have happened over the last 3 weeks.
18/8: met up with Winston
20/8: cycling with Valence
21/8: dinner & KTV with Winston & Siaoying
22/8: dance with blast people
23/8: first locking class (every sat ever since)
24/8: helped my mum sell fried bee hoon at Bukit Gombak

26/8: met up with Audrey
28/8: Dinner with Milo Gang

2/9: job agency, dinner with Tuition kids
3/9: job interview #1
4/9: job agency, bought a new bed
5/9: job interview #2

ok, notice that i only started my job-hunting last week. quite late i know. spent lotsa time in the first 2 weeks picking up my life back in Singapore, clearing my room, preparing my resume, etc. hopefully i can get more interviews next week and find a job by end of the following one! but then again, i do not want to take up any job just for the sake of money. being able to do what i like is still the most important!

to end off, just wanna add a picture to spice up this post. here's the photo i'm using for my resume.

Guess where this was taken??
