random pic #1: juz to show tt i was really back in SG last week =P

the last week of March seems to pass by in such a daze. ever since my return to Japan, i've been sleeping like 10hrs a day to make up for the fatigue i had undergone in the past 2 weeks. even in class, i'm also not quite sure what i was doing cos i'm still in a dreamy sleepy mode. =P (speaking of classes, i actually took a day off on Tuesday to recuperate at home! my first MC in Japan) but thanks to all the rest, i think i'm slowly recovering from my sickness.

also been thinking a lot abt myself nowadays. i guess the trip back home isn't too bad after all, cos it really sets me thinking about what i really want in my life. not that i've managed to find an answer yet, though. =P and somehow, Japan and Singapore doesn't feel so far apart anymore. after all, i can get from my flat in Jurong West to my apartment in Kobe within half a day. both places are my home now and i feel equally familiar in them.

but har, at the same time, i also feel that i fit in neither places. back in Singapore, i felt so uncomfortable with the hot weather and unrefined people. but back in Japan, i'm getting very dishearten at my dwindling number of students and apparent displeasure from my boss about my lousy work performance. is there any place on earth that i truly belong to??

sigh~ everyone around me is progressing... be it in work, dance, study or love. but i'm forever still at square one. i must improve... i must work harder!!!

random pic #2: first attempt at skiing on Mt Rokko artificial ski area last month. suffered from major muscles ache for the next few days!

i think my blog is getting so dry and boring nowadays. but writing out my feelings makes me think in a more organised manner. will try to spice up my blog again when i have more time. =P

random pic #3: my housemates in Kobe. but E (extreme right) is leaving for Australia soon. wishing her all the best in her new life!

Hi, this is the first time I am reading your blog. I am currently a Japanese Studies major in NUS and just applied for Hiroshima Internship. My friend was looking for Hiroshima intern pics and stumbled upon your blog. Your blog is very interesting and informative about what we wanted to know about the intern! Thank you. And, it is my dream to work in Japan in the future, and it appears that you are currently working in Japan. Im envious of you! Good luck! Anyway, I wanted to ask how's working life in Japan for a Singaporean?

Hi, thanks for the comment.

I wrote down my experiences for HIP just for my own memories actually. But glad that it has provided some help for you and your friend. I can understand your uncertainties in signing up for the internship, for i had had the same doubts too. Anyway, it turned out to be a great experience and I wish you luck for it if you are successfully selected.

Working in Japan for a Singaporean... well all I can say is that the lifestyle is very different, but I'm enjoying every moment of it, in spite of the occasional bad times. I guess in order to survive alone in a foreign land (no matter where), being able to accept changes and adapt to them quickly is very important.

Do continue to dream hard, and work hard too. =)
