i can already hear the joyous footsteps of my 23rd bday approaching! ＼（＾o＾）／

first was a bday card all the way from UK from Pea!! awww~~ thanks gal~!! hope u r enjoying urself over there! =)

then today, i received my first bday pressie from my student STK, a 50+yr-old typical Japanese housewife. Really didn't expect her to notice tt my bday is coming!

and now, i've juz returned home from a mini bday celebration with 3 other students and J. すごく楽しかった！ Very fun!! hahaha~ let mi explain a bit abt it..

well it started with my Weds class with CST (40/50 yr old lady) & AKO (19-turning-20 boy). we happened to talk abt birthdays and CST asked mi when my birthday was, so i said it's actually on the 25th this mth. and bcos AKO will soon be going to Australia to study English for 1 mth, we decided to go for a drink together as celebration. coincidentally, juz 2 weeks ago, CST brought her son AKR (16 yr-old high sch boy) to try out my Fri class and he totally enjoyed it! CST said he described my lesson as "最高" (Best) and "キュット" (Cute). *hee~~~* v happie to hear such comments! =P now AKR has officially enrolled into our school as my student. and apparently, when he heard abt the celebration, he definitely wanted to tag along too. in the end, CST brought along her other child HRK (19 yr-old college girl) as well. for mi, i asked J along as AKO is her student too. so 6 of us gathered at a 居酒屋 called 魚民 near our school juz now after lessons.

we ate and drank and chatted... with poor AKO suppressing his desire to smoke bcos the rest of us are non-smokers. =P HRK had to leave early as she gotta wake up early tml. then somehow, our topics drifted to relationships. AKR was so so soooooo cute!! at first, he suggested tt both mi and J are "行ける" (possible) with AKO, since our ages are quite close. AKO also said something abt he doesn't mind girls like us! so i commented tt it seems tt most Japanese guys prefer girls who are older than them, and both boys agreed!! unfortunately, both J and mi also prefer guys who are older. haha~ so we were saying tt all of us want to be pampered by our lovers. we then started relating our past relationships, and even 16-yr-old AKR had his taste of love in junior high school! meanwhile, AKO was spotted to be constantly dozing off, and all of us would call his name, wave at him and ask "大丈夫?" (r u ok?). we teased him abt his weakness towards alcohol and encouraged him to smoke if he needed to. v funny~!! then AKR was relentless in his attempt to be a matchmaker. he kept asking J and mi whether it's possible for us to accept AKO! lol~ his way of asking also super cute and innocent. i couldn't stop laughing! muahahaha~

so i had a really great time at my mini bday celebration. at first i was worried abt having to spend my bday all alone in a foreign land. but now i feel so blessed and lucky. =) 感動した... thanks to my wonderful students!! (＊^o^＊)
