i am in HOKKAIDO!!!

down with a flu... *sniff sniff*... but still enjoying myself nonetheless. =)

a short recap of my trip so far...

17/3: took the domestic flight from Kobe to Sapporo. went for a dance class by this instructor who has held workshops in Singapore twice. then tried to call Audrey but her HP died! was at a loss about what to do, but anyway i was very thirsty so i headed into a Lawson's to get a drink and gee... Audrey was in there too!! gosh... are we super lucky or what?!

18/3: went sight-seeing around Sapporo city on a 1-day subway-&-bus pass and a discount package for 3 tourist spots. we went to 開拓の村, then 白い恋人パーク, followed by a cable car ride up 藻岩山. also ate 海鮮丼, cake buffet and 寿司... 美味しい！

19/3: walked to all the famous spots around Sapporo station - 札幌テレビ塔, 時計台、赤レンガ, etc. then we went to 手稲スキー場! Audrey tried skiing for the first time while i tried snowboarding for the second. ermmm... quite embarrassing... just imagine 2 amateurs trying to ski/snowboard without having a clue what to do! most embarrassing thing was when we took the lift up... only to realise that it was way too scary to slide down! we had to ask the staff there to send us back! haha... quite fun actually... to ride on that super duper fast snow motorbike. of cos we were also kindly advised to practise at the beginners' corner first before attempting to take the lift. =P super tiring day... ate soup curry and ramen.

20/3: day trip to Otaru! it's really a romantic place i must say... love the musical box museum... the street lined with souvenir shops... and the famous river with its beautiful reflection at night... also ate 海鮮丼 and ice-cream in butter potato and sea urchin flavours!

tomorrow, we are going to 旭山動物園 and the day after, i will fly back to Kobe.

another interesting thing is... we have been staying in internet cafes for the past few nights. well we wanted to put up in a hostel initially, but Audrey found this place which is much cheaper and with lotsa facilities - for only 1700yen a night for 9 hours, we can have a private cubicle with personal computer, TV, DVD player and we are free to make use of the drink bar, massage chair and access to hundreds of comics, magazines & movies! down side is that it costs 270yen to use the shower and an extra 100yen for every 15 mins exceeded. so every morning is always a rush to get out of the cafe on time... which rarely happens cos it's so hard to wake up after all the tiring travelling!

ok, i should sleep already in order to get up on time later. =P will insert pictures to this post after i return to Kobe.
