us at 布引の滝, a waterfall near the start of the hiking course
(and yes, my T-shirt reads "I Love Kobe"! haha~)

we walked and walked and walked... 9.30am until 12pm? finally came to a place where we went to see hydrangeas last year and settled down to have our bento followed by a game of Scrabble in the cold wind.
the whole hiking trip was like an outdoor nature lesson for mi...

saw many caterpillars!!! they were all over the place - leaves, branches, on the road (some already stepped on), etc. these pics show the cocoons. they're frozen and hanging from the bar, waiting to turn into a beautiful butterfly.

saw black & green caterpillars but my fave are the yellow ones... cos they look like they have a smiley face! =) the one here seems a bit sad tho... =P

cute little snail

little fruit tt looks like strawberry - was told by passer-by ojisan tt it tastes sour

mi love clover leaves (couldn't find 4-leaves one tho)

also encountered a baby snake!!! probably newly-hatched and only abt 20cm long. nonetheless, it was quite fierce for its size!
we hiked all the way back to 元町 where K-san treated us to Chinese cuisine as belated bday celebration for J. this restaurant is said to be the top-ranking Chinese restaurant in Kobe, and all the waitresses there are either from China or Mongolia. the food really tasted great and reminded mi of home!

totally exhausted now... spending the night now updating old blog entries...
