1) 大奥 (Oku, The Inner Palace)
my 1st time watching a periodic Japanese show. it is set in the Edo period, showing lives of the inner palace where the Shogun's wife and thousands of maidens reside. gosh... so many strict rules to abide by in the palace! and when they speak to one another, it's 敬語 all the time. but i really like their outfit - elaborated kimono with a outer "jacket". so pretty!
the actresses for this show all very power also. they really bring out the elegance of these palace ladies. i esp like Takiyama-sama, who appear so strong and cool on the outside, but still unable to conceal her side of softness at times. and of cos there's Maru-dono, who is always well-liked by being so kind and friendly.
2) ホットマン 2 (Hotman 2)
i've watched Hotman 1 last yr. basically the story revolves around 降矢 family - big brother 円造, his little daughter 七海, elder sister 志麻, younger sister ひなた and twin brothers 灰二 & 龍之介. it's always nice to see how this family resolves their conflicts, care for one another, and sit down for meals together everytime. quite touching and funny also.
and a main reason i love the Hotman series is cos of 七海!! she is so cute!! despite the little age, she often care for the other family members and her friends. i really adore her cheerful and considerate personality. this little actress so young onli, but can act v well. when she's happy, her sunshine smile really show it. when she's sad, her tears will juz fall. li hai!
3) 我叫金三顺！ (My Name is Kim Sam Soon)
managed to catch a few random episodes of this Korean drama and hahaha... really funny and cute!! 金三顺 is a plump, almost-30 and plain-looking girl working as a pastry chef in a French restaurant, and gets romantically involved with the young, capable and handsome restaurant manager 玄真贤. wat started as a dating contract slowly evolves into real love. lotsa bickerings between the couple but of cos, it's still a happy ending eventually. =)
金善雅, the leading actress really sacrifice her image for this show. not onli did she put on weight, but also hv to act until so unladylike. haha~ but her face is still v pretty even without make-up! and 玄彬 the male lead, is so boyishly-cute. during the times when he professes his undying love for 金三顺... awwwww... the look in his eyes... heart-melting! haha~
4) 我的B型男友 (My Boyfriend is Type B)
in this movie, 李东健 plays the role of an obnoxious, selfish and mean boyfriend - supposed characteristic of B blood type, and 韩智慧 is a submissive little woman whose intuition tells her is this is the love of her life. anyway, despite all the bad points of this type B boyfriend, he can be super romantic at times and hence it's difficult to dislike him too!
李东健 and 韩智慧, who first acted against each other in "新娘18岁" are reported to have already become a real couple in reality. i think they really makes a great couple cos they simply look so cute together!
5) 来去日本 (Go Go Japan)
this is a Taiwanese travel show, where the 3 hosts will visit various places in Japan, particularly 四国, showing the interesting spots and yummy delicacies. for a Japan-lover like me, of cos i love this show! managed to learn a lot more about various Japanese states, and it makes me really wanna visit Japan to explore all these fun places!
the female host of the programme, Akane or 相马茜, is v cute and sweet-looking! for a Japanese, her Chinese is really quite fluent. can see tt she has made lotsa effort to pick up Chinese language.
and other than all these TV programmes, i've also finished watching another Japanese dorama VCD set, by courtesy of En. =P
6) 魔女の条件
Yup, the hit Japanese drama like in 1999, but i only watched it now. showing the forbidden love between a 26-yr-old 高校 teacher and her 17-yr-old student. somehow i still find their relationship a bit bizarre - wat with a teacher confessing love for student in front of the whole school, eloping then leading life like a fugitive and getting pregnant, etc. but i guess tt's exactly wat's special abt this story bah. haha~
the combination of 松嶋菜々子 and 滝沢秀明 is quite pleasing to the eye, despite their huge age gap. but bcos 松嶋菜々子 is taller and bigger than 滝沢秀明, so when they stand together really look like big sister and xiao di di. oops =P
i am a TV addict!!! =P
