先週の水曜日、一人で Swing Girls を見た。

it was a really enjoyable show! from beginning till the end, not the least boring bit. totally filled with young vibrant japanese high school students and lotsa really cute and funny scenes!


okie it's basically abt this group of 16 high school girls, who initially joined a jazz band formed by this boy as an excuse to skip their summer make-up class. but yar, they then developed true liking for jazz music and really wan to make their band big. so the movie shows how they go take up part-time jobs to earn money to buy instruments, how hard they kept practising, how many screw-ups kept arising and finally, how they gave a spectatcular 15min performance at the very end.

yeah altho it mite seem a bit clinche this kinda storyline, but i guess the happy ending is wat everyone like to watch too eh. youngsters pursuing their dreams, face lotsa obstacles, persevering thru it all and eventually dream come true....


the whole show is really filmed in a very cute way, with lotsa humour injected into it. i also like the seasonal change in it... how they started with summer, wearing those sailor school uniform, then change to dark long sleeve ones, and ending off in winter with the ground covered in thick white snow. ahhh... makes mi feel kinda boring to live in Singapore with onli one season all year round!

and yup, i also couldn't help kept noticing how nerdily-cute this boy among the Swing Girls is. haha... tt hairstyle he spotted in the show and tt smile he always give... haha... juz looking at his face onli also wanna laugh.

Swing Girls - great show!!! *two thumbs up*
